Tour of Rookwood Cemetery

Time:                     Meet at the All Souls chapel at 9am for a 9:30am start.  This is a driving/walking tour and you will need to follow in your own car (car pool is suggested.)  The tour will last about 2 ½ hours.

Details:                  Journey back in time through 150 years of history.  Rookwood Cemetery is recognized as the most historic working cemetery in Australia.  Learn how burial practices have changed, hear the story behind Rookwood’s development and evolution, and its significant link to our nation’s heritage.  Mark Bundy our exceptional guide, has worked at Rookwood for 32 years, he retires in August and we are fortunate to join one of his last groups.  This is a wonderful opportunity to hear the many and varied stories and visit the newly refurbished mausoleum that boasts amazing views across the cemetery.
